WORK ON THE NEW STATE HOUSE PROGRESSING

The state house occupied by the Head of State, Governor General has already been demolished and a new building is under construction. The work is being carried out by the Public Works Department to a cost totaling between $800 – $1 million. In the meantime the work is concentrating on the underground water cistern and the floor has been completed. The foreman of the work is Mr Temakau Setusa of PWD.
When asked about the duration of the work, Mr Setusa said that they are not sure. The whole project is under the supervision of Charles Leepo of PWD.
