Tuvalu is represented at the Pasifika Arts Festival which is underway in Auckland City, New Zealand. Tuvalu representatives are Tepola Esekia, Acting Tourism Officer and Toaiga Martin, Assistant Trade Officer.
Trade Officer Pula Haulagi told KMT News, both officers took with them Tuvalu products such as toddy syrup, breadfruit chips, handicrafts, tourism pamphlets and brochures to sell and market our local businesses and their products.
It is also reported that both will also hold discussions with our people there regarding the Miss Beauty Pageant because they are willing to take part in it.
The Pacific Art Festival is a Pacific Islands themed festival held annually in Western Springs, Auckland City, New Zealand, which presents a wide variety of cultural experiences, including traditional cuisine and performance s from different Pacific islands including Tuvalu which represents by the Tuvalu community in Auckland.
In addition to cultural performances, countries also used this festival as way to showcase and sell their local products in order to promote trade within the Pacific region.
